Huddled in Hope

This Thatched accommodation in Goa is resident to a number of cycle taxi drivers

there were about 25 drivers or so huddled into this accommodation to get a nights sleep

before they wake up and go at it again… When I asked how the felt about it? they all

had the same viewpoint, They were there to support their families and this was not

all their lives would amount to.

I think it is inspirational to aspire no matter what goes on.

Huddled in Hope

We come from many paths

so we share many laughs

We cover so many paths

so we spend our lives on a daily graft

As we transport you to you different places

with effortless charm and smiles on our faces

Working in the damp and humid heat

in many cases, for the sake of our beloved peat

Knowing our life is but a journey

we carve out niches for our own stories

Till night comes and our heads bump

as we huddle closer for warmth

We dream of better future days

were we forget the scares of our frays

We know there are other ways

where different things pay

Night after night in this hut we stay

We commune with God, we pray

As we know we come from many paths

This life we know now, is not to last

So in our heart we know, this too will pass
